Random Acts of Kindness
A news story just reminded me of something I haven’t done this year. How did I forget this especially at this time of the year?! Not to mention how fun it is as well!! Goodness! Well I am going to do this today!
What am I talking about? “Paying in backwards” as WECT coined in their news story. When you are in line today (ie drive-thru or really any store), pay for the person behind you, and leave quickly. Don’t give them a chance to thank you, so they can pay it forward and do it for someone else.
Make sure your kids are in the car with you so they can experience the random act of kindness with you! When kids see how much fun you are having doing something for someone else without expecting anything in return, it will catch on. In fact, you are paying it forward to your children, too. It’s a great life lesson you want them to take with them as they move into adulthood.
No matter if it is this or something else, no matter how big or small, just do something! Year round random acts of kindness do a soul good, too!
So tell me, have you ever paid it backwards? What did you do?

I am Emily Pietrucci. I wrote in about my grandson Ayden who I am raising. Things are very hard for me right now financially, but I am watching the news right now and I cannot believe someone has gone into an Elementary School and shot18 kindergardener’s ! They are almost as young as my grandson! I would rather donate money or whatever to those poor parents who lost thier babies in New Town Connecticut. I can’t even imagine what they are going through! Right before Christmas! We need to really say a prayer for them tonight! And I thought my grandsons and I were having it bad. I’m just thankful that we both woke up this morning.
Sincerely,
Emily Pietrucci
